This position is a critical part of our local produce processing program team, working alongside our Production Manager, Facilities Manager, and Farm to Institution Accounts Manager. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient processing and packaging of raw farm products into value-added products for institutions. This role requires:

  • Preparation, packaging, and shipping of weekly fresh and frozen Just Cut product orders (particularly broccoli, beets, cabbage, potatoes and carrots);
  • Ability to work in an industrial kitchen setting, including: warehouse inventory lifting, physical capability to move foodstuffs, work in hot and cold settings, and operation of food processing equipment;
  • Clear communication with Production Manager, particularly around occupational and food safety protocols (e.g. equipment malfunction, QA/QC, staff injuries, etc.);
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout production kitchens and warehouse.
