The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE), based in Hardwick, VT, is hiring a Facilities Manager!
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the daily upkeep, physical safety, and preventative maintenance of CAE buildings, equipment, and property. CAE operations are spread between three locations: The Vermont Food Venture Center, which houses commercial kitchens, warehouse space, and our in-house vegetable processing program; the Food Hub, which consists of offi ce space, warehouse space, and our food delivery service, and Atkins Field, a 15-acre green space used by the Hardwick community and owned and maintained by CAE. This critical position will be part of the “on-call” response team when issues that impact critical operations arise. The Facilities Manager will work collaboratively with staff and clients across CAE programs, and in multiple physical locations to proactively address facility needs, sanitation, and safety regulations. Position: Facilities Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Schedule: full-time, 40 hrs/week Monday-Friday (occasional evening or weekend hours)
Compensation: $27 to $30/ hour, based on experience, non-exempt
